Increased Access Service

Patients registered at our practice are able to access evening and weekend appointments via our new Increased Access Service.

These are available in limited numbers between 18:30 and 20:00 Monday to Friday and on Saturdays between 09:00 and 17:00 at Chorley Together PCN surgeries:

Dr Dawoud's Surgery, Station Surgery, Leyland Surgery, The Chorley Surgery, Whittle Surgery, Withnell Health Centre & Dr R B Baghdjian & Partner.

We offer a range of GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, Clinical Pharmacist and other Health Professional Appointments during these hours. These are a mix of Telephone & Face to Face.

The clinician carrying out your assessment and consultation will have full access to your GP record and will be able to complete all necessary investigations and prescription needs.

Please contact your GP practice as normal to check availability. Please also watch out for further updates on how you can book these directly via our online portal.

Veteran Friendly GP Practice

We, at Dr Dawoud’s Surgery are proud to be an accredited Veteran Friendly GP practice and to support our veteran community this Remembrance Day.

As a Veteran Friendly GP Practice we:

· Have a clinical leads for veteran health Dr Hamad & Dr Dawoud, who is supported by the whole practice to improve veteran health services.

· Ask patients ‘Have you served in the Armed Forces?’ to help identify veteran patients and code them on our system.

· Support veteran patients to access dedicated health services.

· Undertake regular training and development to meet the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant and better understand the needs of veteran patients.

If you’re a veteran patient, please let us know that you have served so that we can make sure that we understand your health needs.

A University of Chester study revealed that the Veteran Friendly Accreditation programme, which is run by the Royal College of General Practitioners in partnership with NHS England, leads to better healthcare.
